I’m Going to Marry that Man.
Judy meet Bill some time soon after her mother, Joan married Bill’s's brother Roly and from the beginning, at the age of 8 or so she decided that she would marry him.
A childish desire, disregarded by her mother who said she wouldn’t turned out years later, some years after Bill’s marriage ended to became a reality.
Although Bill was a little bashful in filling us in on how they initially came to write to each other, Judy tells us of how things started and how they eventually spent time together when she was boarding with Bill, his Mother in law, daughters and a boarder. Spending time together lead to eventually getting married in a whirlwind week-end away from work wedding that no one in town was aware of.
Although this is one of those classic age difference marriages they now have spent 50 years together and although Bill doesn’t talk of his affection for Judy she leaves us in no doubt as to how she feels for this fella. A life time together and some very difficult times Judy expresses a deep love and affection for Bill. The good times and her acceptance of having chosen this life and the joy that comes with sharing her life with Bill, her daughter Michelle and their grand children, Kietta-Raye, Kurt and Tye.
